Dexa Solar provides leading-edge products and services built on fundamental research in solar radiation and cloud physics. Our innovative solar resource forecasting tool offers flexible solutions for solar energy, agriculture, meteorology and visibility-critical applications.

For better energy resource assessment and for Earth climate monitoring high resolution and accurate observation data are necessary. Remote-sensing cannot always provide such data at
an adequate spacial resolution and continuous global coverage. Therefore, it is necessary to extend and improve the in-situ observation network in order to collect the necessary data to
cover observation gaps and to calibrate and validate remote-sensing data.

Therefore Dexa Solar seeks an intern for an in-situ sensor feasibility study. The feasibility study involves hands-on prototype development and outdoor testing of a miniature multi-spectral detector for remote-sensing validation.

Dexa Solar is participant of ESA’s Business Incubation Centre and held it’s office in Noordwijk, in close proximity of ESA-ESTEC. The experimental study uses data collected at the CESAR observation station (Cabauw) and in Noordwijk.  This job allow to work (partially) at remote locations. The experimental work will be partially supported by LIS (Leidse Instrumentmakers School) and ESTEC.
